Disclaimer: My life is boring.

So some people think I am defeating the purpose of a blog by not actually saying what is going on in my day. I don't do anything interesting.. seriously. My day is comprised of pretending to study and walking back and forth from the library. I highly doubt anyone would find that interesting ... including my mother (I asked). I think even she has gotten tired of my quite convincing arguments of my ever-changing disease state (I'm pretty sure I currently have osteoarthritis). The highlight of my day was getting a book bound, as I am in love with school supplies. Pens, post-its, notebooks, highlighters - you name it. But getting a book bound is the ULTIMATE school supply - I have become addicted.
... so do you still want to hear about my daily life? I didn't think so.

As a follow-up to my last blog: I mainly carry socks in my purse in case I visit someone's house where I must remove my shoes. I hate walking around barefoot; so if I'm wearing sandals - I just slip my socks on as I take off the sandals! Ingenious? I think so.

I am quite impressed with Salman Rushdie. I mean he's such a great author and he's the only guest on Craig Ferguson (that I've seen) that has done the Secretariat dance! AND he got a Secretariat shirt for it! Maybe if we practice enough, we can get one as well.
Here's to hoping.

Socks and a Hedgehog

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
I feel the need to address a very important issue: socks and sandals. These two are incompatible. For you simile lovers, they are NOT like salt and pepper, peanut butter and jelly, or Katy and Russell (yea I went there). I understand you are busy and I understand graduate school is difficult but this is unacceptable. If you want your feet to be warm, WEAR SHOES. Goodness gracious - you are defeating the purpose of this type of footwear.

Don't get me wrong - I love socks. In fact if I wear flip-flops (or another type of sandal) I always carry a pair of socks with me. You never know when you'll have a spontaneous shoe shopping trip or randomly want to go bowling (those shoes are a topic for another day). But I do NOT wear them simultaneously. Please make this a better place and follow my lead. That is all. Thank you.

"Like a hedgehog doing karate"... (it's definitely going to be stuck in your head now - you are most welcome).  And thank you to my sister for showing me this.
