Fishes and Football.

Those fishes move with your mouse! I personally try to make the fishes enter the shark's mouth, but I guess it's up to you. And yes, I put a shark behind it - so I guess when I say that this blog isn't about sharks I semi-lied to you; except seriously, I know nothing about sharks. It just made that fish game seem more fun.

(Yes I know fish is the plural for fish. Don't hate.)

I firstly need to say that this blog idea... not entirely my own. My sister had started writing down her random thoughts last summer and we decided she should make a blog because well, she's hilarious. She went to grad school however and became too busy to do so - I hope seeing this will give her the motivation to start her own blog (especially because it's a great stress reliever!). So thank you sister!

Watching football reminds me of my first football experience. As a freshman in high school I was convinced (through the power of peer-pressure) to do flag football instead of walking in PE class. Walking involved.. well walking around the track -- of course I would choose this because less physical activity is required - I'm all for that empirical law of physics: conservation of energy (not correct usage of this law, for you physics nerds). As I stepped onto the field I realized I was surrounded by HUGE guys - all football players, as the student who had convinced me that only losers did walking was actually the captain of our football team. As they threw me the ball and I ran from it because I was terrified to be hit, I realized that maybe this sport was not for me. But I continued on and found that I was AMAZING at taking off flags; maybe it was because the flags on the players waists were at my eye level. The one time I did catch the ball, I began running towards the endzone and continued to look behind me as someone was catching up to me. In doing this, I was not looking forwards and BAM I ran into what seemed like the tallest person in the world. Instead of taking off my flag, he just picked me up (with the ball still in my hands) and ran from my endzone to his endzone to score a touchdown. Humiliating.. I know. But it makes for a great story nonetheless.

Perfecting the Secretariat dance is a lot harder than it seems. He's got this weird hip action going on.

Be happy!

I've been told many times to start a blog, and to be honest I didn't think anyone would want to read what I had to say... in fact I'm still pretty sure no one will voluntarily read this (maybe just some friends who feel sorry for me). But that's okay - I've decided to live life by a new motto: Be happy. It's so simple, so fundamental, and yet so few people actually do it. Pursue conquests that excite you, surround yourself with people you adore (assuming they adore you back), and truly live life to its fullest. I'm convinced if I live this way not only will I be happy, maybe I will exude this happiness and convince others to live this way.

I have officially decided that writing my random thoughts out will make me happy (I can't promise reading it will do the same for you). So thank you Moe, for making me do this; you truly are a great friend and most likely my number one follower.

... maybe my only follower.

I had no idea how to start a blog so I actually googled "how to start a blog" and wikiHow gave me this as a tip:
"Keep the posts interesting. Try to avoid focusing on things that most readers won't find worthwhile."

... I think I already broke that rule. I shall try again next time.

Practicing Craig Ferguson's Secretariat dance before I head to bed.
